Pentax MX-1 came to own our hearts when presented at CES 2013

How pretty can a digital camera be? That’s what we wondered when we first saw the Pentax MX-1, presented during CES. Its body of orichalcum, covered in leather, took us back to another time, of Zenith and tenderness.

We believe that no other camera had embraced retro design so well, combining it with decent hardware, and so we explain. The 12 MP CMOS sensor, with quite a fast lens, contrary toother point and shoot cameras, enables this Pentax to receive much more light than the other models in its series.

Add to the mix a 3-inch LCD screen on the back, that lets you better manage taking pictures, that is to control photo “shaking” or select a lower shutter speed. Now add the ability to record 1080p at 30 fps and there it is: you have a beautiful camera that does its job very well.
