Twitter attacked by hackers: 250,000 users might be affected

Twitter is not having its most quiet days recently. After the considerable sized "outage'' it had to deal with several days ago, new details are now revealed about the attack on its servers...

The populor microblogging site has released a blog post with information about the attack from which it can be considered that there have been collected usernames, emails, passwords (thankfully encrypted) and posts from 250,000 users.

It is not clear yet whether this is a substantial risk to any user. Twitter mentioned that the attack was "extremely complicated''

In some users however who may have been affected, a notice has been sent which obligates them to change their password.

No matter what, if you feel unsafe, a proactive password change is not a bad idea...
