Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 owners, get ready for some Jelly Bean "love"

According to internet sources, Samsung has seemingly started to roll out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean updates to its mid-range best seller Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. The firmware update is rolling out in phases and European owners of the device should expect a firmware update notification on their status bar or alternatively, go to a PC, connect it to the device and run Samsung Kies.


According to leaks the Jelly Bean update has these firmware details:

  • Android Version: 4.1.2 – Build JZO54K
  • PDA: I8160XXMC8
  • CSC: I8160TMNMC3
  • MODEM: I8160XXMC8
  • Build Date: 26 March 2013
  • Changelist: 1016990

Users who have updated to this latest firmware mention that it includes Google Now features and Samsung's Nature UI that a lot of you might know from Galaxy S3, along with other bug fixes and improvements that could breathe life to a rather old device.
