Jelly Bean 4.2 update for the Asus MeMo Pad Smart 10 rolling out

It looks as if Asus continues to offer great support to all of its devices many months after their release in the market. Now it's time for ASUS Memo Pad ME301 to "feel some Jelly Bean love" with an update to Android 4.2 that will be worldwide available the days to come. According to ASUS the update will bring a host of new features like lock screen widgets, an improved keyboard experience, and a host of bug fixes.

In case you don't know it, MeMo Pad is the cheapest 10-inch tablet Asus offers and comes with some very respectable specifications. With a 1280 x 800, 10.1 inch screen, a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2Ghz, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of memory, all for a sweet deal of $299. If those specs sound familiar, it’s because this tablet is sort of a big brother of the Nexus 7, with a great price, the same solid specs, and a 10.1 inch screen.

Don't get carried away just now, since the update is currently rolling out for US devices, but during the next days (perhaps 1-2 weeks) it will be globally available. Just wait for the update notification on the status bar and you'll understand that it's your turn!
