More info on Sony's DualShock controller

Hail to all of you gamers out there, here's an interesting heads up on the upcoming Playstation 4 and its game controller's features. It looks as if the forthcoming PlayStation 4 can track players' positions in a room, using the light bars on the system's new controller, according to a video Sony released last week.

As you can see, the video focuses on the new features on the DualShock 4 controller, which is the only part of the PlayStation 4, that Sony has revealed.

The most interesting part of the video is that the controller will be able to tell the console to adjust content based on your position in the room. For example, during a split-screen multiplayer game, if two players switch places, the PS4 can switch the sections of split screen to make them easier to see! The light bar will also produce different colors for each player, up to four, to distinguish them in the room.

The video shows some details about DualShock 4's prominent touch pad, positioned in the center of the controller, which "gives gamers all the natural gestures they are used to," said Sony Computer Entertainment Producer Nicolas Doucet. Sony hasn't specified if there are currently games in development that use touch controls, or if they are simply for browsing menus. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
