In 1977 George Lucas visited the Tunisian desert and change the story of sci-fi movie industry, creating there the set of the planet Tatooine of Star Wars. But how do these buildings look today after standing for so many years alone before the harsh environment?

Ra Di Martino, a visual artist and filmmaker recently ventured to North Africa to explore the ruins of abandoned film sets, capturing startling snapshots of Star Wars settings years after filming shut down. Showcasing the aging yet familiar architecture of George Lucas's universe, Martino's photographs strike at the heartstrings of any nostalgic sci-fi fan.
