Intel: we're not interested in gaming consoles

After the announcement of XBOX One and PS4 by Microsoft and Sony respectively, wearing ATi and AMD graphics cards, doesn't it make you wonder why Intel hasn't bothered to make a try for these?

The answer to our question is given by Norberto Mateos Karaskal (Intel's Chief Operations Manager for the South Europe area) during a 4th gen Intel Core processors event that took place in Athens recently. Mr. Karaskal replied that: "the gaming market is not profitable to us, so it's not of interest to Intel", explaining that "we're watching closely all the latest developments but we don't intend to do anything more on the matter".

In any case it would be just awesome to have the next gen PS5 equipped with and Intel graphics card, don't you think?
