Sony Xperia Z1: Almost official with a 20.7MPixels G Lens camera, Snapdragon 800 and water resistance

Sony Xperia Z1 will be officially unveiled today in the afternoon during a Sony event in Berlin, yet just a couple of hours ago the press release regarding the device leaked so we have all we need to know about it!


The device will pack a wide G lens by Sony (27mm) with F2.0, 3x zoom and 1 2/3 Exmor RS sensor with 20.7MPixels resolution, capable of capturing 61 photos in 2 seconds! Along with the device there will be relevant apps regarding its camera like Info-eye, AR effect, Timeshift burst and Social live! The Sony Xperia Z1 will pack a 5 inch Triluminos, X-Reality display (1980x1080p), a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 @ 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPS, 16GB of storage with microSD support, LTE compatibility and a 3000 mAh battery. It will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and it will be available in white, black and purple. It has IP55 and IP58 certification meaning that it is dust and water resistant.

Sony mentions that the Xperia Z1 keeps up with the company's Omnibalance design, meaning that it will be made out of a unibody piece of aluminum. The device also has a PlayMemoriesOnline App, a cloud based service that automatically uploads all your photos online with out any space restrictions and a new Track ID TV that works excellent in finding unknown TV shows! Sony will unveil also a series of accessories for the smartphone, like the famous lens cameras (QX10/QX100), Imaging Stand IPT-DS10Μ, Smartphone Tripod SPA-MK20M, Bluetooth Music Receiver BM10 and the Miracast Wireless Display IM10!
