Anthony Hopkins and Sam Worthington will have a part in the thriller about the abduction of Freddy Heineken

Director Daniel Alfredson, known for the Swedish film adaptations of "the Girl who played with fire" and "the girl who kicked the hornet's nest", is getting prepared for big things in his next job. This is because he has already found an impressive cast, see Αnthony Hopkins, Sam Worthington, Jim Sturgess, Ryan Kwanten, Mark van Eeuwen and the young Tom Cocquerel to film the thriller "Kidnapping Freddy Heineken".

This is the true story that happened in 1983 and referred to the attempt made by one group of criminals to abduct Alfred "Freddy" Heineken, the grandson of the founder of the well-known company Heineken. The story is still known because the ransom paid to the kidnappers was a huge amount, 35 million Dutch fiorins, $21,704,000 dollars in current money.

The fact that Alfredson has not yet engaged with the American production, is only a good sign that we are looking forward to see what he has in mind for the project. Daniel Alfredsson is the older brother of the well known director, Tomas Alfredsson, who gave to us "Let The Right One In" and the (awesome) "Tinker Tailor Solider Spy".
