Facebook teens can now have followers and public posts

Truth is that Facebook had limited the usage of the app to teenagers aged between 13 and 17 years old, allowing them to post only to their friend's friends. This has changed however and now their voice can reach all 1.2 billions of Facebook users!

The whole transition has to be made in a controlled way, so Facebook will notify all teenagers that their posts will be public to all Facebook users. Along with public posts teenagers will be able to have followers. This way, if a teenager turns on the follower feature any user will be able to follow him. In case you didn't know however, the default setting for the audience to which a post will be visible is Friends and not Friends of Friends.
