Acer unveils Iconia W4 with Windows 8.1

Acer unveiled recently its Iconia W4 tablet, an 8 inch device with 1280x800 pixels resolution, that relies on Zero Air Gap technology to offer crystal clear images. It packs a 4th gen Atom Bay Trail SoC @ 1.8GHz, 32 or 64GB or storage plus a microSD slot. It also features micro USB, micro HDMI and a SIM card slot. Iconia W4 is much heavier than Lenovo Miix 2 (415 gr.) but really classy.

It packs two cameras (2 MPixels in front and 5 MPixels on the back) and runs on Windows 8.1 along with Office Home and Student 2013 suites by Microsoft. Finally a slim portable QWERTY keyboard will be sold independently that will be used as a tablet dock for those who want to use it as a laptop.

Acer Iconia W4 will be available in October in the US and then globally at a price of 329,99$ for the 32GB version and 379,99$ for the 64GB version.
