Nokia Lumia 1520 is now official

After months of rumors, Nokia unveiled today in Abu Dhabi its largest and best Windows Phone 8 smartphone called Lumia 1520. The device packs a 6 inch display with 1080p resolution and it's Nokia's first smartphone to take advantage of Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update!

Nokia's flagship has a huge display that offers room for more tiles in the display and with Microsoft's new update, these tiles can change their size! It packs a Snapdragon 800 SoC, with 4 cores @ 2.26GHz and 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, microSD slot, a 20.7 PureView MPixels camera with BSI f/2.4 Zeiss lens, OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) 2x optical zoom and the new Nokia Camera app. It also packs a 3240 mAh battery and is Qi compatible for wireless charging.

Following Nokia's well known design, Lumia 1520 is made out of a single polycarbonate part and the black model especially is made out of recyclable polycarbonate parts that's responsible for its matte finish! The device also packs an impressive app called Storyteller that combines Nokia's Maps with your photos and locations, while Banner app allows you to project the data on the display to any other HTML5 compatible screen! Nokia Lumia 1520 will be available in red, yellow, black and white colors, and is scheduled to hit stores by the end of the year at a price of around 749$ in the US!
