Windows 9. Available by April 2015

Well Microsoft may be currently working on Windows 8.1 Update 1, this doesn't mean that the company isn't thinking about the future. So they are preparing Windows 9 (also known as Threshold) that according to Supersite for Windows and Paul Turrott  will premier on April 2015. However we will be able to have a taste of them during Build 2014 (April 2014) but not a ready alpha release for developers unfortunately.

What we know so far about Windows 9 is that Microsoft will change a lot of things in the new operating system, while releasing Metro 2.0 UI version, a new revamped UI that a lot of users have been waiting for. Some people insist that Windows 9 will be responsible for the return of Windows Start Menu - and some others say that we will see this significant change in Update 2 of Windows 8.1. According to Paul Thurrott there will be three significant milestones in Windows 9, just before their final release without being able to know yet, what will really happen.
