Apple is still in the lead in the US, Samsung is second for Q4 2013

According to NPD Group that just released its recent report regarding Q4 2013 for the US market, Apple is still in the lead when compared to stats from last year. More specifically Apple's share in the smartphone market has risen to 42% (when last year it was only 35%). Samsung comes second with 26% (from 22% last year) but the Korean company is still falling behind its main opponet.


LG and Motorola share 3rd place, since the first reached 8% from 7%, and the second fell to 8% from 11% it had last year. HTC (was 3rd during 2012) is now fifth with 7% and Blackberry is last with a mere 2%. According to the same research, the 5 top music apps for Q4 2013 were: Pandora, iHeart Radio, Spotify, ΤuneIn Radio and Slacker Radio while the average bandwidth use per customer has risen significantly from 5.5GB to 6.6GB/month!
