New Exynos 5422 Octa and Exynos 5260 Hexa SoC's from Samsung

Samsung announced two new SoC's. The first is Exynos 5422 Octa that will equip the new Samsung Galaxy S5 and the second is called Exynos 5260 Hexa that's already available in Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo.

The Exynos 5422 Octa packs 4 Cortex A15 cores @ 2.1GHz and four Cortex A7 cores @ 1.5GHz! It uses big.LITTLE.ARM architecture but uses Samsung's HMP (Heterogeneous Multi Proccessing) technology so that the user will be able to use all 8 cores in any combination. In addition this SoC will be able to support 4K video playback and recording.

On the other hand, the Exynos 5260 Hexa packs 6 cores, two of them Cortex A15 @ 1.7GHz and four Cortex A7 @ 1.3Ghz. It is based on big.LITTLE.ARM architecture with HMP and it can use simultaneously all of its cores. This SoC supports Full HD video @ 60fps.
