A children's tablet made from Intel and Amplify

Intel and Amplify just announced a new tablet designed especially for kids up to the age of 12. This tablet will be made from durable materials so that it can with stand any mishaps from the children, like getting wet or being thrown down. It's display will offer Corning Gorilla Glass coating, it will support WiFi, stylus and it will have several educational apps pre installed.


According to its official specs, the tablet will pack an Atom Z2580 SoC @ 2GHz, a 8100 mAh battery, two cameras at 5 and 1.3Mpixels, Android 4.2 etc. In it children will find a lot of pre installed applications like encyclopedia Britannica, Geogebra, Google Apps for Education, Project Noah science tools, Desmos graphic calculator and others! This school tablet (called Amplify Tablet System) will be available in the US market right before educational yeat 2014-2015 at a cost that will reach 199$ per year!
