NVIDIA's GRID gaming service is up and running

NVIDIA’s game streaming service GRID is ready to go live. The company has stated that the service will be available in North America this month, Western Europe in December and Asia next year. It will be free for the Shield Tablet and Shield portable users through June 30, 2015.

“Gaming gratification should always be a moment away, too. That’s why we’re introducing our NVIDIA GRID on-demand gaming service. While GRID makes gaming gratification immediate, it took us a decade to invent the technology behind the service that streams GeForce GTX-quality graphics to SHIELD devices,” NVIDIA wrote in a blog post.

GRID will initially offer 20 games such as Batman: Arkham City, Borderlands 2, Brutal Legend and Psychonauts.
