New images of the amazing structure Apple prepares for Campus 2, the company’s “spaceship”-like building

9to5mac published new blueprints of the new “Campus 2” that Apple prepares.

It’s a field the company purchased from HP, as well as other “neighbors”, in Cupertino, California, and in which they plan to construct their new offices, estimated to cost approximately 300 million dollars. In fact, the planning was originally supervised by Steve Jobs himself, during the last part of his life, while it’s worth mentioning that his last public appearance was during the project’s presentation, for the Cupertino state council.

The specially designed building that reminds of a spaceship landed on a “garden”, is expected to be one of the most impressive constructs in the world. Noticeably, the “print” of its circular structure is larger than that of the Pentagon.

Apple has made sure to maintain the beautiful natural surroundings, and has even hired a specialist herbologist from Stanford to supervise the planting of more than 6.000 trees around the building.

Solar collectors cover the whole of the building’s rooftop, while these images that were recently published, depict additional internal and external specs of the new structure. The new images revealed by 9to5mac, come from office transparencies, in work for the project.

Foundations are expected to be laid later this year, while the building itself is expected ready to host company employees in 2015.

You can also watch some other renderings of the building, published in the past by 9to5mac.
