Twitter gets a new look

Twitter CEO, Dick Costolo, announced on a show by the american TV network NBC, that changes came to Twitter’s profile pages, a new iPad app, as well as updated iOS and Android apps.

So, profiles on the microblogging site are changing, as is thoroughly explained on a blog post by Twitter. The biggest difference is about the establishment of a large header image on the entire top part of the page, following in the footsteps of the Facebook timeline cover page.

The profiles page has been substantially redesigned, with your avatar now appearing at the center, while the stream of photos has moved to the top, and is now accessible by all apps.

We should note that Twitter also updated its iOS and Android apps, in order to support the new profile pages, as well as photo streams, while they also presented a whole new iPad app.
