V/H/S: the most scary or the most hype movie of the year?

Pay attention. People fainted in the movie’s screenings at Sundance and other major festivals where it was shown (SXSW, Toronto After Dark, Fantasia, Film4 FrightFest), and many already talk about one of the “toughest” productions of the year.

The concept is really innovative. A bunch of slackers who make their own movies by assaulting women in public places, are searching for a precious videotape in a derelict house in the middle of nowhere, which they plan to sell on the black market. When they get to the house though, they find a lifeless body on the couch, surrounded by piles of videotapes.

To find the right tape, they have to watch an endless series of chilling videos, one more weird than the last. This catch of a movie was directed by Glenn McQuaid, Radio Silence, Joe Swanberg, Chad Villella, Ti West and Adam Wingard, making this horror anthology that had fans on their toes for quite some time now.

There are also different opinions though, of those who said they were not so excited by the end result, and talk about just one more horror daze, with the cinematic technique of a camera in hand. We’ll let you know about our conclusion on October 11th, when the movie will be shown at theaters here.
