Don’t drink it... use it to type instead!

The truth is that Red Bull got a lot of publicity by sponsoring Felix Baumgartner’s jump, but one other company active in drinks, seems to have launched a special campaign that stands out and made it famous all over the world.

Staropramen beermaker, based in the Czech Republic, sponsored the recent Webstock 2012 conference, through a brilliant idea. They created a keyboard made out of 40 beer cans.

Yes, that’s right, it’s a real keyboard connected via an Arduino microcontroller to a Raspberry Pi and then to a TV, making this setup a really special computer.

People who were at the event could use the keyboard to type their name, and so claim a free trip to Prague. It’s a smart and inventive campaign, which you can enjoy watching in the following video.
