Tim Cook raps on the Surface tablet

During a teleconference about Apple’s 4th quarter financial results, Tim Cook was asked if he had any thoughts about the Surface, Microsoft’s tablet. And what his comment?

Apple’s CEO has not yet “played” with Microsoft’s new tablet, but according to what he has read, he said, and we quote, that it looks like a “fairly compromised and confusing product”.

As far as Tim Cook is concerned, every product has to address one specific need, and he believes this is exactly what the iPad does, which Apple’s consumers have appreciated.

Tim Cook went on to say “I suppose you could design a car that flies and floats, but I don't think it would do all of those things very well”. He feels certain about Apple’s tablets, and that people will keep choosing them, despite the increased competition by the arrival of Windows 8. What do you think? Do you share is his opinion?
