Indoor Maps by Google. They want to chart everything!

From time to time, Google pours some salt on Apple’s open wounds, constantly upgrading their Google Maps service. Recently, they announced they are expanding the capabilities of this service with Indoor Maps.

It’s maps that reveal the inside of commercial buildings, like airports, malls, etc. The service is only available in specific areas for now, like buildings and locations in America, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, England, Sweden and Switzerland.

With this new service, users can navigate inner spaces, like they do with the outside. Depending on data availability, they can locate stores, restaurants, restrooms, etc. inside buildings.

The service is available through the Google Maps app for desktop platforms, only up to one level, while Android users can navigate more levels (floors).
