NASA is so sure the world will not end, they posted this video in advance

It’s obvious that NASA does not believe the rumors about the world ending on December 21st, but this doesn’t mean they have to ignore it. We are not sure how to comment on this one, but the news is that besides a special subsite, they did not hesitate to post a video right now, that challenges you to watch it, on December 22nd.

This four-minute video, titled “the world didn’t end yesterday” and busts the myth of theories that have the end of the ancient Mayan calendar, heralding the destruction of the Earth. This video, which is a part of an attempt by NASA to prevent a possible panic, due to the kind of publicity this “destruction” has received, starts like this. “December 22nd 2012. If you’re watching this video, it means one thing. The world didn’t end yesterday”.

The video goes on to explain, through reasonable arguments and scientific fact, why the world will NOT end. The truth is that reaction by NASA, as well as the american government, seem much too serious for such an issue. In any case though, they may have a point, as many are those who rush to believe such theories, due to high publicity in this matter.

Whatever it is you believe about this, it’s still interesting to watch this video by NASA.

Here it is!
