Braun’s new B-Tab 803 with an 8-inch screen

German manufacturer Braun announced the B-Tab 803, an entry-level tablet, based on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS, which costs no more than 149 euros.

It integrates basic-performance components for its price level, but the manufacturer focuses heavily on connectivity. It features a 5-point multitouch screen, with a size of 8 inches and a resolution of 800x480 pixels, and has been equipped with the Allwinner BoxChip A13 SoC, clocked at 1.2 GHz, combined with 512 MB of RAM.

Storage capacity amounts to 8 GB, though it’s expandable through microSDHC flash memory cards. Its tech specs include WiFi connectivity (802.11 b/g/n), 3G support through various USB 3G dongles, 1080p video playback, 0.3 MP camera for video chatting, as well as a battery featuring a capacity of 3900 mAh.

Its dimensions are 200x154x9.9 mm and its weight is 410 grams. It’s already available in various European stores.
