Forthnet stores started selling a 70-euro Android 4.0 tablet

When we first wrote about the Connect Me TS-703GR, a 7-inch tablet with Android 4.0, sold by Forthnet at a special price of 70 euros, we could hardly believe it ourselves.

Several of our friends, us included, preordered the tablets, which started shipping out to the first batch of people who were interested, since the 18th. So did we receive our own 7-inch tablet the very next day.

Keep in mind that you can preorder and take advantage of this offer, until January 30th 2013. Since February 1st, the tablet will be available for 100 euros. You can preorder here, though at this time, the form has been disabled, due to stock unavailability.

The Connect Me TS-703GR features a 7-inch capacitive screen, with a resolution of 800x480 pixels, a Boxchip A13 Cortex A8 CPU at 1 GHz, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage, expandable through microSD cards, a front camera for videocalls and a USB host port, among others.

Google Play provides a multitude of applications that you can use on this tablet, and Ice Cream Sandwich is also there, with a Greek menu and keyboard.

You can view the tablet’s full tech specs here. What do you think of it? Let us know. It matters. We’ll explain why, later.
